Working instruments, not gimmicks — the calculations and references we use before quoting. Free, no sign-up, no tracking beyond the basics.

Calculator

India landed-cost (import duty) calculator

Enter CIF value and rates. The calculator applies BCD → 10% Social Welfare Surcharge on BCD → IGST on the duty-inclusive value.

How duty stacks

The formula, in plain English

Indian import duty compounds: CIF → + BCD → + 10% SWS (on BCD) → + IGST (on everything so far). Specific lines add agriculture cess (AIDC), compensation cess or anti-dumping duty. IGST is creditable for GST-registered businesses, so the cash cost and the P&L cost differ — model both.

The single biggest lever: the FTA route. A preferential Certificate of Origin under CETA, CEPA or TEPA can cut BCD to zero on eligible lines — check it before anything else. Try your country in the FTA & Tariff Explorer.

Indicative tool — final duty depends on HS classification, valuation, notifications and cesses in force on the date of filing. We confirm the exact structure per line before quotation.
